Some like it hot. Some… not so much. I suppose this is no different with cocktails, but I personally enjoy partaking in both.  Summer is in full swing (and if you ask me passing way too quickly – August What!?) and happy hour is somewhat mandatory.

You will enjoy these longer sunlit hours while you can and you will enjoy them with a freshly muddled cocktail in hand! Righto!?

Depending on where you lean on libations, we’ve prepared two summer sippers that will delight raucous BBQ guests and demure private patio parties alike. You might want to lay down some blankets and pick up a box of neon bendy straws and the finest unauthorized Sponge Bob piñata you can find because this party is about to get started…

PEPPER INFUSED TEQUILA WITH BLOOD ORANGE AND CHARTREUSE

  • 3 oz blood orange juice
  • 1 1/2 oz pepper-infused tequila (depending on your fire tolerance, slice 2-3 habanero & serrano peppers and place in tequila bottle for 3-4 hours. Expert hot handlers can leave soaking overnight)
  • 1/2 oz Chartreuse liqueur
  • Garnish with thinly sliced blood orange wedges & freshly ground pepper or dried chili flecks

MO’ MOJITO MAS COCKTAIL

  • 3 oz white Rum
  • 1  tbsp agave syrup
  • 1 mottled lime for juice
  • 8-10 muddled mint leaves
  • Shake with loads of crushed ice and top off with club soda
