Well hello there!
Yes, I realize I’ve been a little quiet around these parts. Travel to weddings and travel to family and well all kinds of lovely things have taken me away from head quarters. All happy times maaayyybe with the exception of mouth surgery that happened a few days ago. Let’s just say I’m a little off game and have been flat on my patootie for a good minute. I’m not going into details about that one because, quite frankly, I’d like you and I to remain friends. Best friends…long haul style. The good news is — I’M BACK! Bigger, better, stronger than ever and ready to get all up in your internet faces. High Five?
During my recovery, the mister drove me up Angeles Crest to stand tall over Los Angeles, take in some crisp fresh air and basically get me out of the house away from watching Dance Moms…don’t judge. You try to play it normal while being restricted to a cottage cheese diet in a house stacked with food magazines and a tivo full of cooking channel. Ain’t happening chicky! I digress…
Mount Wilson was gorgeous! Los Angeles, you look so petite from up there…Cute, even. Spring is officially here! Fresh starts all around! Who doesn’t love a little kick start back into action? And just think, you don’t even have to go to your Periodontist for one (oh lucky, lucky thing).
The past few days have turned me into a certified juice head due to the thing we shall not mention above. Thankfully for the mix master veg crusher (aka my husband) and our new besty Jack La Lanne – there was some seriously amazing organic distillation happening over the weekend. Note: when forced to live off of liquids alone…variety is key. Otherwise you will go crazy and deep into the abyss of double churned ice cream and an E! True Hollywood marathon. Do yourself a favor and stock up in the produce section before getting your juice on. Here’s the good news: There’s nothing fancy to juice making. In fact, you don’t have to even peel or chop anything with this tank. Whatever sounds good will most likely taste good mixed together. No science here. Think of it as abstract, freestyle fingerpainting of taste.
Now where we did have 5 magnificent and different juices to sample from. My favorite juice is still of the green swamp water variety. Call me crazy, but I love me some super greens. Throw in a little apple for sweetness add a jalapeno for kick and maybe even a knob of ginger for…BOOM! I feel the healing coming on. Popeye wasn’t lying people, greens make you she-ra strong and alert like a red fox in the brush. Trust!
Now get yours.
