Oh Autumn! Sigh.

At last you’ve shown your lovely rose gold face. Even if it’s still 80 degrees outside, you’re glowing in a new hue! The light has shifted and the mornings are starting off a bit crisper. Starting the day off with tea, the thoughts of pumpkin hunting and even the potential of finally wearing my new slippers has got me giddy. I know, I wasn’t ready to greet you with open arms a few weeks ago…but now you are a pleasant and much needed friend.

Actually, you are my favorite time of year.

Just don’t tell the other months…winter can especially be especially sensitive to this kind of favoritism.

As long sleeves and jackets start to make the journey from back of the closet to front, a transition is also taking place with home decor. What is this seasonal desire of adding warmer accents in preparation of upcoming entertaining and holiday glam!?

Every year. Without question. We are ready to fluff the nest.

Forget menu planning and guest list plotting – all I can think about is adding gold tones and wood to my table top! I’m not sure narrowing down my essentials from this particular list will be easy…but I will say that set of tasting spoons is looking particularly attractive in this light. Oh and thistles. We must all figure out how to arrange some thistles!

Welcome back  Autumn – we’re all falling desperately head over heels for you… all over again.
